How Locumate used Veraty to get SOC2 and ISO27001 certified in 7 months

The challenge
As we began expanding Locumate globally, customers started asking about our security compliance—specifically whether we aligned with standards like SOC 2 or ISO 27001.
While we’d always built with security in mind, we didn’t have formal policies in place. This was a key moment for us to mature as an organization and put structure around what we were already doing.
The idea of going through a certification process was daunting. Where do you even start? Would it take 18 months? We’re a lean team without internal security experts, so we looked externally.
